Half Waif is the 80's influenced indie electronic project of Nandi Rose Plunkett. She refers to the material as a "search for a sense of place" and that search is reflected in her confessional lyrical content. Rose Plunkett uses echoing synth modifiers and pelagic keyboard tones to amplify the emotion revealed by her arresting delivery of these intrapersonal tunes.

Words cannot do this album justice, but here's a feeble try: sublime guitar playing, beautiful singing, and heart-wrenching stories of being lost and being found by and wrestling with the Almighty. <3 James Mahoney

“One morning this sadness will fossilize, and I will forget how to cry. I'll keep going to work and you won't see a change, save perhaps a slight gray in my eye.” As gut-wrenching as the concept of a second puberty. I'm gonna lie down and cry. Jennifer Gruber
