take away the ache.
i lie awake in the morning,
before the thoughts start forming, getting in my own way.
nobody’s gonna save me
and i’ll be disappointed.
are your eyes yet open
while you’re facing the other way?
and i know that i’m asking for more than you can give,
but isn’t love just living like that?
take away the ache,
make it over, make it an ember. we could keep each other warm, but only if we don’t remember.
or turn it into dust, apparently it’s just a powder. it rises and it bursts
and i feel it like i wanna.
and i know that i’m asking for more than you can give,
isn’t love just living like that?
i’ll follow wherever you like.
oh it happens all the time.
the more you love, the more you lie. say you’re not going anywhere.
i’ll follow wherever you like.
oh it happens all the time.
the more you love, the more you lie.

I think it's difficult to write songs about something other than romantic love, and still be able to communicate the intensity with which those feelings can hit a person. Some of the entries on this album are fantastic examples of this niche. dani_bloop

You know, it wasn't my favorite for a while, but for some reason my brain decided to listen to it on loop a few weeks ago and now I can't stop thinking about it.
I love the synths, the tone, the lyricism, even the music videos which I feel I should mention!!!
(also, should've been me reminds me a bit of abba which is an automatic bonus in my book) praisedrays
Described as a series of “self-exorcisms,” “Ego De Espinhos” is a brain-melting foray into experimental electronics. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 4, 2019
